It’s better now, but for a long time you could only get diesel at like 1 out of 5 gas stations. ‘Merica is all about conveinienance (goddamn, I live here and can never spell that word even with browser spell check and that sums it all up I guess).

The only thing worse than 80s muscle cars were 70s (post 71) muscle cars.

Considering Alpha Tauri is an Italian team, it would be amazing if the “wrong” Italian team won a home race again. Last year’s win was bonkers.

How the F is Stroll “underperforming”?? He got what, 2 podiums, a pole, and nearly a win last year in a mid pack team. Half the grid would be pretty damn stoked with that.

Lot of good suggestions in here (Countach/Testarossa, Fox body etc..) but one I didn’t see that having grown up through the 80s I can definitely tell you was synonymous with the decade was the BMW 3 series:

Kia should come out with a version of this with the Telluride grille/look but the Kia version should be the “sporty” one with a single cab (will also except slight extended cab) and a 6' bed.

I really loved my Katana :(

Beyond good. This is one of the best (and also gut wrenching) pieces I’ve read on this site and I’ve been reading it for years. Writing like this is why I always keep coming back and even bought the hoodie.

Honestly the closest we’ll probably ever get to another 2002 is the 1 series from 2009-2014. I still want one of those. I would totally have one right now if I hadn’t gotten into motorcycles.

Took me too much scrolling to find this haha. Needs more stars.

Not a bad idea but I think I’d go with the DeTomaso Pantera personally. Always had a soft spot for those.

Unfortunately, by 1974 that era was over. With maybe the Pontiac exception you mentioned.

If you think 1996 was bad.... hoo boy... would I love to trade you for 1974.

This is actually a great suggestion. Even as a Hyundai/Kia owner/stan I still forget about the Veloster and suggested the Elantra GT and Kia Soul instead.

Hah! beat you to it by a few minutes:

Surprised no mentioned the Elantra GT, seems perfect for her.

If she can score a 2015+ (IIRC) in her price range, she’d be ok but otherwise yeah, DO NOT buy an auto Focus earlier than that!

People who slow down/brake when trying to merge onto an interstate highway.

CDFC notes that DMV charges are not baked into the price of these plates.

An enthusiast friend of mine bought a Forte GT a year or two ago. Neither him nor I can still get over how nice and fun of a car that is, for the price.
