first watch through it has a rough start, and there will probably be moments where you go "why am I watching this" but I promise the final season recontextualizes everything in the most beautiful way possible. it's one of the best shows I've ever seen.

it's brilliant how that jackhammer is sort of the bridge in the show from the cartooniness of season 1 to the bracing realism and pain season 3 is going to paint the entire series with.
