The Shield as a pure streaming device is overkill unless you play local media rips and have an audio system that supports TrueHD w/Atmos. A Chromecast w/Google TV will stream what the Shield does, and even direct plays Plex-offered media with PGS subs, etc.

This. MST3K works GREAT for me, because (A) I’ve seen them all multiple times, and (B) I won’t get sucked into the plot.

Have taken a few trips here (I live near the Wisconsin border), and it’s a BLAST.  And well worth the admission price of $25.

Just having all of that HBO content is huge. I’m watching shows I never got to on release (e.g. Boardwalk Empire), and enjoying the fuck out of it. Plus the Studio Ghibli content is worthwhile.
