I am baffled at the studios that keep giving Jared Leto lead roles.

Yep, and performative support of minorities/etc. happens only so long as they don’t actually have to do anything to help these marginalized community.

Oh, you and your facts and your logic.

Thanks!  That makes total sense.

Sears was a bit more complicated; K-mart acquiring them was purely a tax move.

Paramount wouldn’t dare treat what it’s done for Patrick Stewart and Jean-Luc Picard as a tax break.

Sounds like you’re the racist tbh

I’m not crazy about the first theme, but the second?  Absolutely primo.

Cliff Eidelman’s score for Star Trek VI really borrows from Holst.

Agreed, although I have an all-encompassing love for Duel of the Fates from TPM.

Uh, no.

Indeed.  But then, I doubt Paramount execs (or any other capitalist leaders) understand that the Ferengi are a parody of them.  (Assuming any of them actually watch Star Trek...)

Honestly, the only kind of “humor” they seem to get is the punching-down variety.

They’re part of Paramount, so “co-producing” it was just a budget allocation thing.

Partially available on disc.  Only half the episodes are.

Nickelodeon is part of Paramount, so it’s all one company.

In order to get a tax write-off, I think the S2 episodes would have to vanish completely, but CBS Studios seems likely to try and sell them elsewhere.

I agree with all of this!  Well said!

The fact that Prodigy was yanked so quickly implies to me that a deal with another streamer is imminent, or at least very likely.
