Even I know better, and I have won a total of...one sec, doing math, checking notes...oh yeah. Zero fights in my entire life.

I can’t like this enough!

Translation: “Anyone miss the days when white men would be granted redemption automatically without actually doing anything?”

Or maybe stop being a dick and use the common abbreviation that everyone understands (K).

Yeah, someone else posted a link to an article where they did a teardown on one of these and found a couple of slow SD cards inside (or, in one case, a cheap thumb drive).

Shit, yeah, someone else linked to this, and yep, sure looks the same:

Alas, I can’t find the old Vanity Fair article, but they did an extensive thing where they broke down how Waterworld was caught up in a fight between some big players (like Spielberg) in Hollywood and Matsushita, the then-new owners of Universal. I wish I could find it to confirm the details, but essentially it was

Just the fact that it says “SSD Hard Drive” is a huge red flag IMO.  Also, absolutely no actual brand name or drive specs.

Ugh.  Is it a hard drive, or an SSD?  That’s kind of an important distinction.

I mean, either you get the difference between objective and subjective data, or you don’t.

That’s for sure. Or maybe some folks have a religious objection to screws or something.

I’ve never heard of that tip. I would imagine that varies widely depending on the type of job, experience, industry, etc. Certainly my resume has never done what you suggest; if an individual item merits quantifiable results, then I’ll include them, but it’s not universal.

Yeah, I wondered what the article meant with “cleaning it is no fun.” (I didn’t click on the link, so I’ll just assume it’s some weird article about some strange edge case or something.) I just use a swiffer on a stick, and it takes very little time indeed.

It really is that terrible.  I know Moore works tend to get corrupted, but this was hilariously awful.

Some people are mad yes, but to be cancelled is to affect the business of their career, and that didn’t really happen with Chapelle.

Wow. I mean...wow.

Yes, well, we will have to disagree on that.  Market forces IMO are at best crude and at worst wildly inefficient.

Because the government benefits greatly from the industry, and having a ton of Filipino maritime workers suddenly lose jobs would certainly negatively affect things back home.

If you’re asking me how we get rid of an entrenched system that controls all the resources and is used to service the very wealthy, where the wealthy can then ensure that laws and regulations work in their favor by funding election campaigns, well, I don’t know the answer to that. It’s a system that protects its own

It’s because someone decided to take Seven Samurai and dump a fuckton of fantasy clichés into a blender with it. Everyone making superhero poses and whatnot.
