Yep. Lived there for a decade, and I miss that weather so so much. Unfortunately I now live in one of those the-air-hurts-my-face places.
Confirmed. For a while, my oldest daughter owned a Geo Metro convertible. When she went away to college, she let me drive it. Yeah, it’s small and hilariously gutless. Yeah, you can touch all four windows from the driver’s seat. But put the top down and drive around San Diego, and you, my friend, will have a…
Fair! I just want one. A 1970 hardtop Electra Limited was my first car and as a teenager I adored it. Oh sure, it was unsafe as fuck and got 7.5 mpg. But I could squeeze 7 or 8 people into it, and fit a 10-speed bike in the trunk (and the trunk would close).
I want one, in Electra form.
Oh come on. Mercedes is undoubtedly going to go with some hybrid camper/convertible thing of which only 17 were made in 1977.

“Who is Lisa Catera?”
This is crazy. If I don’t clean my ears, the wax builds up until it plugs the canal and my hearing goes to shit.
This. Went through some health issues a couple of years ago and my back yard got overgrown. The local municipality issued me a ticket, with dire warnings about what would happen if I didn’t address it.
Had a ‘96 back in the day. Great family hauler. Only caveats are (A) don’t try to go up California hills with 6 or 7 adults, and (B) have fun working on it.
I went to a private high school (early 80's) that didn’t offer driver’s ed, so I had to go to a private driving school. My parents chose it; I have no idea how.
Nothing substantive to add, other than you have awesome taste in cars.

I honestly had no idea that Raimi did For Love of the Game.
Make sure you have plenty of coffee on hand when you watch For Love of the Game. Even John C. Reilly can’t make it interesting.
