See if you can find a copy of “The Curse of Fatal Death.”  It’s a Doctor Who comedy special with Rowan Atkinson as (one of) the Doctor(s).  It’s ridiculous and hilarious.  Jonathan Pryce as the Master, and a bunch of other Brit stars as other Doctors.  (Joanna Lumley is my favorite.)

I just discovered his “Maigret” stuff, and it really is good.  Had he not been so brilliant at comedy, he might have succeeded as a general actor.

Yes, although I’m not nearly as big a fan of season 1 as I am of the rest. His snivelly character just doesn’t work for me.  But S2-4 are utter brilliance.
