well they kind of are.
They took their own way...largely by splicing different endings together from other storylines. Because there are roughly 10,000 stories, and the individual character arcs are pretty well established.
Endgame and Game Of Thrones were basically telling the same story,
The Talk says this season had “plot armor,” where very few main characters died in order to “please” audiences, even ones that really had no business living through what they did, especially during the Battle of Winterfell.
On the one hand you have Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard. Now if we can get Jaimie Foxx, Bear Gryllis, Megan Fox, Samantha Bee and music by Sheryl Crow, John Cougar Mellencamp and Seal, maybe a special appearance by Tiger Woods, we’ll have quite the menagerie on board.
First of all, art is dead. So are movies. And Spielberg never made art but popcorn blockbusters.
So are “Schindler’s List”, “Saving Private Ryan” and “Artificial Intelligence”. Spielberg has made a lot of (almost always entertaining) fluff but the man can make great films when he truly wants to.
What does “Art is dead” mean? When did it die? Was it long before movies? The same time? Was it a murder suicide thing?
“Empire of The Sun” is most certainly art.

or ‘Trump’.
All of this, 100%. I can’t say I’d really blame them for tiring of a beast of a show that they worked on for nearly a decade, but the result was the show suffering when it really mattered, which was unfortunate.
The shots/art pieces are likely based on plot points that were in the outline GRRM gave the show runners that formed the foundation of the scripts. So it’s not like the art is dictating the pacing of the show. That has more to do with the choice made by Beinoff and Weiss to do truncated seasons, as HBO was supposedly…
You can say whatever you want about the quality of the writing of the final two seasons, but the visuals were groundbreaking. Like nothing I’ve ever seen on TV. I can’t wait to see what these guys do with a Star Wars IP.
Agreed, simply stunning. The show did a good job of bringing these to life as well.
These are gorgeous.
As much as I disliked the accelerated pacing of the final seasons, they really did have some neat shots. They did a good job of bringing these art pieces to life.
Time out
