Agreed on that incredible Lexi Alexander interview. It really was eye-opening.

I still maintain that Christopher and Jonathan Nolan’s script in the hands of a better director (s0meone like Fincher perhaps of if Denis Villaneuve had been around back then) would have been an absolute masterpiece.

Been waiting very patiently for the next Tamara Jenkins film. Loved THE SAVAGES.

In a version of the script I read earlier this year, the two protagonists become romantic at a certain point in the movie.

After seeing The Killers in concert, I developed a greater appreciation of Sam’s Town. Prior to that, I thought it was pretty mediocre.

I actually think it was the idea for a short film that got stretched into a 2 hour movie. That’s why there is so much unnecessary filler that ultimately leads nowhere.

It’s so funny you should say this because the most commonly repeated criticism of this film is “it’s not a horror movie!”

I’m probably in the minority here, but I found HEREDITARY to be incredibly disappointing. Like, a real mess of a movie that has serious pacing issues and very poor storytelling.

I disagree. Nothing about Jesse is interesting.

There are no small parts, only Brian Dennehy.

Even more excited for a movie I was already super excited for. Love Carrie Coon!

Agreed. Loved season 2. My favorite of the three.

When you get to the later seasons of OB, please come back on here and explain the plots to me. I could never figure out what was happening and why.

Just the tendency of the characters to make dumb decisions in the second half of the movie. A little disappointing after a brilliant first half. Typical horror movie cliches but they tend to be more egregious in a movie that starts off so smart and strong.

Binge watched all 3 seasons of The Leftovers in the past week wrapping the series up this weekend. Amazing show! Still digesting the entire thing. Despite critical acclaim, I think the third season was my least favorite.

I never understood the love for Jim Gaffigan. It’s all just a matter of taste.

Sorry, but pageants are fucking stupid and anachronistic.

Definitely deserves it, but I wouldn’t complain if Hoyte walked away with it either.

THE GUARD is great!

Couldn’t agree with this more. McDonagh has never cared one bit if his work is considered PC or woke. Everything he has ever written proves this.
