Luckily for Kendrick, his employers don't understand the concept of amnesty, either.

I did a piece on this recently actually. My main tricks are: read a lot, research the subject/book before hand, make it a priority, read about things that fascinate you, mark passages/ideas that strike you, review after you've finished.

Can you please send me a copy of the explanation? This was, for me, one of the best how I work articles

Secrets? You can't take something that mom has been telling you all your life and brand it as a "secret" to get hits on your blog article or sell a book.

Maybe this is just my conservative upbringing, but why does Anyone need to "come out". Who gives a rats backside what someone's sexual preference is (past wanting to get in that specific persons pants)? I just don't see the need to go around and broadcast your sexual preference. But on the same note, I don't CARE

I always thought it was a typo when people put a period before the handle. Now I know.

We promote deals and products, promoting companies is an indirect result. The only time we do not "promote" a company is when we feel those companies pose a threat to our readers for reasons like lax security or lack of reputability.

First off, this is a post from the Commerce Team, not Gizmodo Editorial.

My point is that the term "entitlement" as a matter of federal programs means that, once one meets the legal criteria for using the program, one need not prove need or anything else other than the legally mandated requirement, such as age, family income, or whatever. The problem is that this term has been distorted in

If you're working full time and don't have enough money, you should be looking for a better job, not welfare.

It's unfortunate that people don't want to accept the reality of welfare dependency and abuse. A social safety net is necessary in a modern society, but there needs to be a higher level of accountability so that it does not become a hammock.

And you have stats to back that up? I was a caseworker for several years with Medicaid and food stamps. Up to 2011. The majority if people that got benefits were not playing the system or 'entitlement' crowd. There are plenty, don't get me wrong, but it's far from the majority.

I think to an extent it's a great program but these need to be monitored more thoroughly. A lot of people abuse these systems.

Agreed as well, I have seen plenty of people get on benefits for a bit and then get off of them the minute a job popped up. The purpose of such benefits is to intervene for people get to the starving and homeless stage as in a first world country such things are seens as "unseemly."

"...the ultimate goal of all of these programs is to get you back on your feet and working again."
No they're not, they're meant to develop dependency leading to serfdom.
