Dawn has seemed really checked out both episodes. Her whole vibe has just been down. And it was no surprise that timing and planning got her again (at least she plated everything this time) as those issues are constant with her. I’m sure she’s nice and makes good, flavorful food, but she’s not cut out for competition

So noted in the official record, I guess.

They are not exactly shy about having modelled the entire show after the Star Wars OT. It’s even made explicit in the season 2 opener that it’s their Empire Strikes Back season. This is Return of the Jedi, with Rupert as the emperor.

Rupert’s office is Palpatine’s throne room on the second Death Star

Nate’s arc will be as follows: West Ham and AFC Richmond will play somewhere around the two-thirds mark of the Premiere League season, and the Ted Lasso season. It’s all building up to this. Rupert wants only to stick it to Rebecca. It should be a rout. And it is. The Greyhounds win! Rupert is furious and all of his

I’m just really happy to see the coverage return to the AV Club.

Such a cool idea for a new Top Chef season - only thing I kind of wish is that they got all past champions (looks like 9/16 are past champions and the rest are either runner-ups or 3rd place) for this. But guessing they tried and couldn’t, especially since Food Network seems to have gobbled up a ton of the US alums.

Holy shit! Is AVC covering Top Chef weekly again? It’s a Christmas St. Patty’s Day Miracle!

It wasn’t clear why the entire city followed her either unless it was just out of loyalty to her brother. RIP Kathleen, I guess.

I’m not sure if you’ve played the games or not, but the character work they’re doing is essential, not ‘padding’. TLOU was never a Walking Dead-style hordes of zombies game (or show), the heroes’ relationship is the reason it exists, and it’s also as much about evil humans as it is about the infected. I’m really

I’m the first one to call out an episode, or a whole show for being painfully plodding (Mayfair Witches and The Watchful Eye are two shows that I’m rapidly growing impatient with), but, to me, this episode did not feel like it was ‘dawdling’.

Both good points, I thought for sure someone would have grabbed some of those stylish moon boots.

Well hey, a little art history show ’n tell is in order I guess, though the episode title is ultimately a great deal more subtle than merely a knowing tongue-in-cheek pun.

When he was a kid they all called him “Ser Slaw” and he never got over it

I’d forgotten about the “beneath the floor” comment, or whatever, but I still guessed it was going to happen exactly as it did. I was hoping I was wrong, because I was like, “surely they won’t have Rhaenys kill a bunch of innocent civilians.” *sigh*

I think it is less “impaling” and more “crushes skull.

Look, I understand the need for cool dragon moments whenever you can get them, but the Rhaenys scene at the end of the episode is just nonsensical. She has the power to end the war in an instant, and she just... Doesn’t? The Greens are apparently worthy of her mercy, but the hundreds of smallfolk she murdered in her

After giving it much thought, I’ve come to the conclusion that Ser Criston might have an anger issue.

The more we see of Shane and his mother, the harder it gets for me to imagine that Rachel could’ve spent all of this time with them and not come to this breaking point long before the honeymoon.
