Neural networks / ML in general doesn’t work like “code”. It’s much more like an organism - you feed it an enormous amount of data, “train” it on the outcomes you’d like to obtain, then hope for the best. It’s all about setting up the proper rewards systems and incentivizing the best outcomes in various ways. No one

Bad news about neural networks: you can’t (easily) debug them. The main loop involves the weighted averages of literally thousands of computations.  This is why when people complain about AI bias (for instance), the only available justification is “hey, the algorithm!”

Not really

Agreed. Russ is, by any objective measure, a horrible human being. It’s only the childlike enthusiasm and tweenlike insecurity that Chris Diamantopoulos brings to the role that makes him at all palatable.

Gwart, not Qwart. This was driving me crazy. ;)

Gwart. The character’s name is Gwart.

Oh, I gotta see what outfit #2 was.

Wow that is the most Bighead has done plotwise in seasons.

I keep thinking - is Gwart going to be for Silicon Valley what Milton was for Office Space?

Expert trolling with the hint of Erlich’s return.

Dude, not Riz Ahmed, he was in Rogue One. Omid Abtahi is Dr Pershing.

Yeah, that bothered me. He knows that a) the fobs are set to track Baby Yoda; b) all the Guild members have a fob; and c) all the Guild members are after him, so the idea that he could ditch Baby Yoda in safety makes no sense.

That would make sense, if not for the fact that bounty hunters have been using those same exact trackers on all the bounties in the series so far! That includes other people and Yodas, so it is definitely not “force-based” tracking..

Totally agree! I keep wondering how the “tracker” fobs work in general.. I mean, they must lock on to DNA or something (and I guess blink faster or slower in a “hotter-or-colder” scenario? lol), as I don’t think baby Yoda is like chipped or anything.

I guess I’m a little confused about how our Mandalorian thought Baby Yoda could stay in one place permanently. He knew about the bounty hunters and the trackers, so until that is resolved somehow, isn’t it obvious that they’ll always need to keep moving?

That planet is apparently the Outer Rim version of Canada.

The best part was when the inn keeper didn't realize he was trying to but information and just thought he was a big tipper.

Also I just love the dynamic of baby yoda being a little button pushing imp and being shamed into not eating that frog.

It was a Firefly episode, and it was a whore house.

Krillboi!
