Dude, Michael created like a million trolley problems back in that one episode with the trolley problem. He’s got magic powers! This isn’t a new development!

I understand ‘cause plot stuff, but man do I wish Chidi were more involved this season. I’m sure it’ll turn around soon, but it’s not the same with him separated like this.

Heidi Gardner is fine, but I’m not sure her update characters involve “good acting” so much as “a lot of acting”. I’m always much more aware of all the little tics and business she’s using to create the character than I am with, say, Kate or Keenan (whose characters are often just as broad).

I knew this would get a C+ or a B-, as they pretty much all do, and most weeks I would agree, but I don’t this time. There were a few rough patches, of course. The Update jokes once they moved away from Trump were mostly clunky. The Kate-heavy sketches in the second half were all too long, even if they were

Yeah the review doesn’t seem to grasp that was literally the point of Dee taking them to do it.

“That’s OK homie, that’s just what motorcycles do”

I thought Chidi delivered the best straight line of the night:

From the beginning of this new experiment one thing that bothered me was the biggest change in the set up - there was no one who didn’t belong. With the Original Four they were there to be tortured so bot Eleanor and Jason knew they didn’t belong. That they got in by accident and had to hide and fight to not be

KABOOM

She can do no wrong. The world is her clam

Really glad he said this.  I know some people that listen to him who probably need to hear it.

...something about apples, trees, and the effects of gravity...

Where is all that money now

“You should have gone for the IPO [snap].”

I’ll have you know that my forthcoming podcast about the perverted arts has been loudly demanded by the masses!

Insulting Gourley is so important that they reveal on latest episode that they had a stunt Gourley replace him and be insulted recently while Gourley was in Thailand.

I also love that each episode has 10-30 minutes of him berating Sona and Matt Gourley.

The Bill Hader episode is a classic.

Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend has reinvigorated my love for Conan, as I stopped following the tv show after the move to TNT, more or less. It’s a consistent delight.
