It’s crazy that Pete Davidson has now played Grandpa Joe more than once on SNL.

I still think police and politicians should face multipliers on their convictions, because they are in positions of power and we have no choice but to trust them. So if a crime normally carriers a 5 years sentence for a normal, powerless citizen, for a police officer or politician, it should get multiplied by 2.

Yeah, while I found the segment pretty funny and Crenshaw did admittedly come off as very likable, this is a guy who is against abortion, universal healthcare, gun control, etc. It felt like an attempt to humanize someone who supports reprehensible and dangerous policies and it made me super uncomfortable.

Civility only matters if it’s anyone on the left (or in the middle). When you’re on the far right, like Crenshaw, you can say whatever you want. Lorne Michaels and SNL are clearly happy to enable this view. 

I was waiting for Mac’s father to show up on the stage. 

And speaking of supporters, I would never have guessed the day would come when majority of Hispanic voters are backing an O’Rourke in favour of a Cruz:

I don’t usually think Triumph is funny, but “I support spaying and neutering jsut as Trump did with you” was a great turnaround, even Cruz had to admit that. Lion/Lyin’ Cruz, also, expertly pulled of. That, I respect.

The celebration footage was the best thing about this two episode set.

Whoa.  I had no idea that was her playing Etta Candy in Wonder Woman until this post.  She’s delightful and Etta was a great character, I just never put the two together.

I never made the connection between Dianne in Shaun of the Dead (one of my favourite movies) and Etta in Wonder Woman until just now, so first and foremost: thank you for that.
