I think Jian-Yang’s story this season has some promise. I enjoyed his casual description of his ongoing attempts to fake Erlich’s death. I hope they do a good job of integrating Jian-Yang with the rest of cast.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a running gag paid off as well as the Nic Cage one is with Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. Kevin’s pure rage is a thing of beauty.

The above C surprised me. I really enjoyed this episode. Everything with Holt and Kevin was gold, and every text Holt sent was fantastic.

Does anyone really come to B99 for the plot? The only time a B99 plot matters is the Halloween specials. Otherwise I want jokes and the crew making me feel fleetingly good about the world because they’re in it until I remember that oh yeah, they’re not real cops, cops are definitely not like this at all.

I have the same quibbles about the story too, but when a show makes me laugh and laugh often — from poor Rosa’s undercover salon stint from (her) hell, the frequent belly scoots out of the room (“I’m sorry you had to sit through that absurd conversation” *scootscootscoot*), and Holt’s super-formal texts — I can live

I’m so glad this show is finally back.

Kevin’s slow mental breakdown was definitely a highlight, and the fact that the thing that broke him was finding out that Jake didn’t show him the only 2 nic cage movies he might have remotely enjoyed was perfect.

Yeah, definitely don’t see how this is a C episode, personally. This was a great episode that really gave us a fun pairing with Kevin & Jake. The Nicolas Cage gags were a delight

The perv reveal was hilarious, and everything about Rosa at the hairdresser was just gold.

Your opinions are wrong.

having a jake/kevin episode kick off this back half of the season, for me, couldn’t have been more perfect. along with gina’s gossip, rosa’s blonde perm, captain holt’s text messages, library perverts, nic cage, shred pile, i loved it and was laughing nonstop. i’ll probably post quotes after i watch again later.

It’s tragic how misguided SNL is in thinking “The Californians” is some beloved classic we’re all wanting to see again. Far, far from it.

“cocaine white cheddar or some shit...”

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed the stupidity of how the FBI guy was captured.

I dunno, this made me laugh quite a few times. The Super Bowl Revolution skit was very dumb but very funny, especially Fey bringing the venison hoe-gies from Wawa - you know, Wawa the Indian lady. Monster voice Portman in the Nick Awards bit was great. Weekend update was very strong. And of course, Portman in full

The worst part of RW for me is watching them go to a store to pick out decorations.

I was in high school in Albuquerque in the early 2000s and can personally attest to the fact that majority of music played by contemporary pop/rock radio stations was ~10 years old—think Matchbox 20, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, the Counting Crows, etc. It wasn’t until I moved out of state for college that I became fully

Oh, and props to the Black Mirror team for whatever dumb thing they had to do for Morrissey to sign off on the use of “Panic”.
