To be fair, he didn't even know for sure if there was a Doom movie, so presumably he means he loved the game, loved the game.

"In the end, the humans were doomed. The ducks just wanted it more."

What exactly is a "waste" of speculation? "Oh, I'm not gonna even think about that, since it's clearly not possible."

(Comment moved to proper spot. Please ignore.)

Love the commentaries. Every single episode of Futurama has one and they're all great. I even like to listen to commentaries of films that aren't that great, so I can hear how aware the creators are about what they did and didn't accomplish. Sometimes they can be brutal (there's a reason for those "Views expressed may

Here's one: The Reese's Pieces in the film were supposed to be M&Ms. M&M/Mars was uncertain about their product being associated with a creepy, possibly child-scaring alien, so they declined, and Reese's Pieces were used instead.

As someone who works in the web biz, I concur. It's kind of what the plans for a university site look like while they're still on the drawing board.

Oscar was orange on the show at first (the magenta color in Henson's sketch didn't come across on TV very well).

This article makes me realize that I actually don't know how I grade myself. Or how I should. Perhaps this is a problem — maybe it could be the focus of another article?

A few years ago, my wife and I were walking the dog, when we heard a loud "twhack" noise in the street nearby. We looked over to see an unmoving squirrel on the pavement, which could only have fallen from a tree branch above, at least fifty feet up, probably more.

Was there any actual marketing for this film? If not for io9 I wouldn't have known about it at all.

Rumor has it that there is a strong divide internally Apple between those who favor skeuomorphic (imitating real-life material) designs and a non-skeuomorphic approach, leading to some rather bitter debates.

It's a shame the Men In Black series didn't do better. It was smart, had an interesting art style, and that theme—I still get it stuck in my head for days at a time.

No, the Clone Wars movie was originally the first few episodes of the series, but it was decided to edit them together for a theatrical release. Which is really too bad, because the show didn't really find its legs for a season or so, and some of the multi-part episodes from Season 3 onward would make excellent

I really wanted to see this before. Now I want to see it for a whole different set of reasons.

I am the weird kid in my life.

I'm a couple of days from pulling the trigger on a Nexus 7, and now, after today's announcements about the Kindle HD 7"…

It's been a while since a trailer made me say this, but oh WOW I wanna see this.

So, a little quick math on the "billion miles every three years" figure gives about 38,000 mph. (About .005% c, if you're interested.) Is it the fastest human-made object in history, I wonder?
