To be fair, the kaiju this robot is supposed to be fighting probably couldn't exist either. They'd be too heavy to move, collapse under their own weight, etc.

Spaceships!!!!

Great article.

Fantastic article.

Agreed. PG is a great character and a movie with her would rock.

I wonder if this means the recently-reported Metal Men movie is dead, or at least indefinitely back-burnered.

I suspect that this return to the "OT" era is part of a general overall shift, with the new game and the "Underworld" TV series (in preproduction). I'm also hoping that the excellent "Clone Wars" animated series is followed up by an animated series exploring other parts of the OT era.

Roswell That Ends Well actually won an Emmy for technical reasons — there's actually a second DVD commentary which discusses the technical aspects of the episode.

The way I see it, a Metal Men movie is kind of a way of slipping in the side door. I'm a huge Flash fan and would love to see a great Flash movie—but if DC tries that (or Wonder Woman, or another big name), they run the risk of another Green Lantern. (For the record, I kinda liked that movie, but the resounding thud

Walt always wanted Mickey to be more of an edgy trickster/prankster like Bugs Bunny, rather than the more squeaky-clean image he eventually developed.

I'll be in my bunk.

...And Cars 2 was an okay movie, but not a great one. I would love to see an Incredibles sequel, but I can go on waiting if it means the best movie they can make.

Right — the one in the guy's left hand can be restored. The one in the right...not so much.

Ah, beat me to it.

I think we should just let them go on their ways, if only to see how far they make it. Unless, of course, the Klingons are going to use them for target practice.

Technically the region of space is not "unprecedented", because it has existed before. It has precedent.

I could do this for each of my bosses twice — once for the Doctor they think they are, then once for the Doctor they actually are.

Some of these places seem like ready-made movie sets, particularly Gunkanjima.

So they've spent so much money that they refuse to shelve it? Do movies get "too big to fail?" (Fail to get made, I mean.)
