It is a two-wire sensor. Are you not able to just cut the connector off and replace with Metripack connector? Hell, maybe even use the Gen V LS knock sensor and extend the harness up so that the connection point is closer to the engine block, assuming that some tweaking on the knock sensor programming might be needed?

Yeah, I have been happy with my 2019 Rabbit. That one-year trim is basically an S with LED headlights and 18" Pretorias.  That means it retains the plaid seats and doesn’t have a leaky sunroof.
