I drove one when they first came out. There was daylight gleaming through the gap between the passenger door and A-pillar. The roof was unfinished fiberglass. The sticker price was $50k.

It looks like the arm wasn’t positioned on the proper jacking point of the chassis.

I always back into spaces as it is easier to leave due to increased visibility. This choice always seems to enrage people because they want to be up your ass in parking lots and those reverse lights just ruin their day.

I was planning on replacing my 2019 GTI with a Golf R once the warranty ran out in 2025. I was also hoping that VW would fix the complaints about the touch buttons and non-illuminated HVAC controls by that time.

Oh well. 

I can relate as I enjoy my V8-powered cars but also equip all of them with catalytic converters. I get a lot of people criticizing me for that because I guess it is incomprehensible that someone can like muscle cars and horsepower while also trying to remain environmentally responsible.

I would love for the “tablet glued to dashboard” trend to go away and these screens actually be integrated into the dash’s design.

I think it was Jay Leno who had the designer of the Ford GT on his show and he goes over the surprising amount of challenges he had to overcome to maintain the retro proportions while meeting modern standards.

The mention of Talladega Nights being released on this day 17 years ago made me realize how much I miss seeing Michael Clark Duncan in movies.

I have zero interest in a diesel, so this wouldn’t even be a consideration unless they offered a gas engine option... with the 6 speed manual.

This is where I’m at. The guy knowingly defied the law, so there should be a penalty.

I’m not saying I condone doing 140 MPH. I’m saying I get it.
