GM can eat a bag of dicks for never bringing the Ute over here.

You have to remember that shitty driver most likely has no muscle memory from operating a clutch, and that shitty driver also is just resting their foot on the brake. Chances are good that person still uses their right foot to brake while their left foot is just hanging out on the pedal.
When I was 19, I was looking at getting a new car. I had it narrowed down to being between a Pontiac GTO and Subaru WRX STi. The Subaru salesman told me to come back with my mommy or daddy and he would let me take it around the parking lot. The Pontiac dealer tossed me the keys. So, I bought the GTO.
I’d rather just buy a clean Fiero with the L67 swap and save a bunch of loot. There are too many other vehicles in that $20-$25K price range to be had that aren’t hacked up replicas.
When you can get more value for your dollar in other vehicles at the same price point in the same niche category, it really shouldn’t be a surprise that they haven’t sold well.
So, your whole reasoning for dismantling the union is because you didn’t receive any formal training and had to pay for your boots one time in the 80s? Sound logic.
On paper, it may have worse forward visibility. In reality, it may not be that much of a hindrance. No one will know how it affects them until they personally drive it.
I wouldn’t really consider $37.5K to be “affordable.”
Love my GTI Rabbit. I picked it up in August for under $26K. The thing is a blast to drive on the back roads and I average around 28 mpg. The LED headlights alone made the step above the S worth it. Of course, only 3000 of the Rabbits were made in 2019.
Why would you spend $22K on an R with 89K miles when there are Rs with ~30K miles going for $30K?
Or just buy a brand new GTI for ~$24K.
I contributed to the VW August sales with the purchase of a 2019 GTI. The VW dealers seem much more willing to make a deal than others, and they actually stock vehicles with manual transmissions.
If Jeep expects me to spend 40-50 large on a vehicle, it better damn well have an interior representative of that price segment. The Wrangler does not. There is no reason for me to buy a Wrangler over a Grand Cherokee or a Gladiator over a Ram.
Mazota.
You can get the Jetta GLI or the GTI for under $25K brand new, and those still come with a 6 year warranty and the holy grail manual transmission.
Not really. There are plenty of LS engines that consume oil like a motherfucker and they don’t really exhibit any premature failures outside of the owner letting the motor run dry.
I think it looks fine, but I also prefer understated vehicles since they tend to age a lot better than those that employ all of the hot design trends of the time.
A friend in high school bought one brand new in 2004. It was the coolest car in the group, so it is what we took to prom and down to senior week. I think the majority of my 2004 summer was spent riding around in that thing. Due to the Mazdaspeed wing he put on the back, we joked that it was the Batmobile, and even had…
Setting my overall Scroogeness aside, and substituting the NB for the NA, I would go for the ND. It is a great car and the extra horsepower is really noticed when you want to accelerate. I think Mazda really hit it out of the park with the ND.
No, it isn’t fucking solved because:
10 years ago, we were right in the middle of a recession.
