@dennyp: Yeah, they aren't even 6 months old, this is just sick...
@Xodin: The two bars on his collar do indeed denote the rank of captain. They are called the "captain's bars"
@Toni Lähdekorpi: Because that is totally not steampunk. This is meant to be, and therefore concealing a couple of little motors inside, is keeping in the spirit of things.
Use the steam engine to drive a small electric motor to generate power, and hook that motor back to back with another motor, with a capacitor across the leads to smooth the motion.
My solution is to leave it on all the time, mine hasn't been off for probably a year or two. Does that make me evil...
@nxdu: Perhaps not in everyday life, but in college, we don't use anything but the metric system.
@NotEnglishSpeaker: blam of course...
@dr_bob: For some reason I read this comment in an Irish accent...
@uncutlateralus: Unfortunately not, he still has it on Giz, and never had one here...
@DrkPheonix: I was reading it on gizmodo, which is why my comment was autopromoted too.
@DrkPheonix: I hope you get destarred.
@josh.y.chau: yes, this does look tasty.
@Les Mikesell: Yes there is. 1920x1080 over VGA, is 1080p.
@luke.timothy: Yes, you can do 1080P over VGA, HDCP (high bandwidth DIGITAL copy-protection) is only used over digital connections, VGA is analog, so it's unprotected, same as component.
@photoplex: What's the deal with beating a dead horse anyway? I beat a dead horse once. Then analyzed the mechanics, and realized it was dead anyway.
@pfernando27: A gallon of cannabis would be pretty sweet too, I think you'll agree.
@A.Jaswal: you can't divide by 0... ;-)
Congratulations Jason!
