Having never driven a current gen Mirage I can say nothing of it's utility as a pointA-pointB gas sipper. I was simply concurring with Beldrueger on the fact that little girls probably aren't as excited by RV-moon-bases as they are by some econo-car that just happens to come in their favorite color.

It's too bad Rio Rancho leadership was too inept to see all of the issues that Albuquerque had with their cameras. They fell for the fake money grab and installed a couple of their own. Oh and we also go the pleasure of a photo van that moves up and down Unser. In fact every camera is on Unser because most of the

I'm with you on that one. This is the car my daughter gets excited every time she sees it. She's six, what can I say...

That was actually proven by the University of New Mexico just before Albuquerque ripped out their cameras. At every intersection where they installed the cameras, accident rates increased. Mostly due to people being rear ended as they slammed on their brakes to avoid getting hit with the running the red light fine.

I can't see why it wouldn't work. I'd just try to be quick the the melting so You don't get any burnt plastic taste in your edibles. Also McDonalds seems to have some of the wider drinking straws around. Wider is easier to fill and you just cut it at whatever length you need.

While I'm not sure I would use this idea for travelling, it is a common practice among lightweight backpackers. But there is a far better and cheaper way to accomplish this process.

While the scenery around it is far from desirable, I've always thought the Fred Hartman bridge in Houston was pretty cool.

A story on the subject of burning magnesium. My dad was up in Alaska in the Air Force supporting the Army guys who were up there doing maneuvers. He watched as the Army guys marked a landing spot for a Chinook with a parachute, and never staked it down. At the chopper came in to land, the untethered parachute got

That's pretty much the story of the C-130 as well. It has the longest production run of any aircraft in history. They started flaying them in the 50's and they're still building new ones today. It's amazing how a few tweaks and modernization to engines and controls can keep these old air frames flying for so long.

Thanks, I've seen them online and watched a few videos but having never seen them in person I was unsure how well they actually work. I'll have to put it on my list.

Love the Kreg Pocket-hole Jigs.

I agree I can't stand having a messy desk when I am starting in to a new project. the clutter distracts me and stresses me out. in fact as I write this I'm looking around at all of the things that have accumulated that I need to find a home for...

In our house, allowance is based upon chores. I understand the logic behind the idea that chores are part of being in a family and are to be expected, but I feel like paying for work accomplished is a better lesson than giving my children an arbitrary amount of money based entirely on nothing.

I'm going to have to go with Moab Jeep Safari. Other party's might make a bigger initial splash, but few last an entire week.

You could add the '67 Camaro to your body of evidence. I know common opinion is that '69 is the classic, but I hold on to '67 as the best looking Camaro.

While I agree that 65 was a good year, the vette up top is a '67. In sixty five it only had three louvers in the fender and didn't have a scoop on the hood.

There are some great books available with all of the information you could need about the trails in your area. This particular one is on amazon for about $17.

Can I just suggest to everyone that they never try to take the non-clicky Sharpie pens on an airplane. They are not meant the handle the reduced pressure of the cabin and start dripping ink everywhere. I'm not sure how the click-type work but after my experience at 30k feet, I've never used the sharpies again.

So I'm pretty new to woodworking and building furniture as well but I thought I'd toss my hat in the ring.

For me, there needs to be a nice balance between the two. While I'm working on something, my desk will get a bit messy as papers and other items referenced/sorted/scribbled on. I get to a point, however, that it just has to be cleaned. Everything get's put back away until it is needed again.
