NYC lowered it’s speed limit on all local roads from 30 mph to 25 mph which is a reduction of 16%. Reducing the average speed of cars is the exact intent of the law. It seems like the law increased congestion - no surprise there.

If $70,000 is entry level, then you know why new car sales are slipping FAST. New cars are just too damn expensive.
The Bolt is $36,000. That’s hardy entry level. For EV’s to gain traction, they need to be priced more in the low $20's. The Chevy Cruze starts out at $17,900 - less than half the price of a bolt.
Reverse - New cars are too expensive. And cars are more reliable and lasting longer. Why buy an expensive new car when I can buy a 3 year old car for a $10-$15k less than a new one. That’s 1/3rd or 1/2 the cost of a new car.

64 isn’t considered elderly. People aren’t even retired at 64.
