I think that the captcha is to easy, it looks nice, but it is just a javascript overlay.
With Opera you can browse in "User Mode". When you browse in User mode, all the distracting images and stuff will be gone. It works better than this Readability thing.
An own feature of Opera is Block Content, so you don't need a special program or an extension. Just rightclick on the page, block content and click on the image what you want to block.
