I totally agree - I'm at that age where the question each summer is, "How many weddings and how much will they cost?" That said, I find the bride-shaming tone of this article (and the many others out there like it) reprehensible. Writers for a feminist site should do better.

If you don't want to go, DON'T GO. What's worse: inviting someone to celebrate an important event with you, spending thousands of dollars to throw a nice party for everyone who comes? Or being bitter and snarky because someone inconveniently invited you to attend?
