This is sad and there was no good outcome.  I hope this young woman can find peace in her life.

I didn’t used to be, but the last three years have really turned me into an ardent man-hating feminist lesbian. I mean, I was a feminist and a lesbian before, but the rest of it is a consequence of watching men over the last three years.

I expect she has been aware that her dad is a complete piece of shit for a while, now. I doubt this was a surprise. It’s certainly not to me.

God, I hate that fucking Trump mouth so damn much. She and her brothers all constantly have that doofy expression permanently stapled to their dumb faces.

Single father here and I agree completely. People are all the time saying stuff like “I don’t know how you do it,” etc.

The same way the dozens of women in the organization who are single mothers do it, only with a penis and a bunch of unnecessary fawning.

As RBG told her children’s teachers when they were small and she was getting every single call: This child has two parents. Call him.

I’ve been in the workforce for over 20 years, and here is all men have to do to ensure women get the short end of the stick at home and/or at work: nothing.

Agree totally. One of the male professors at my grad school regularly drove his children to and from school. This fact was so shocking and impressive that the school-run news paper wrote an article about it.

a mercy killing, it would appear.

They’re claiming a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old had consensual sex?

Be best, Melanie.

I remember the first time I realized that and told a man as much.

Comfortable shoes; never wear heels again.

I feel the same way about middle-aged fashion. I clicked on the L.L. Bean megasale link that Jezebel was tempting me with a few weeks ago and I tried to resist this total mom sweater but I could not. I actually returned it for a bigger, boxier size.  I surrender to comfort.  It is freedom.

I am 37 and childless but I have to say I agree so far. They scare us in our 20s that we won’t get as much attention from men. But I’m really enjoying less and less attention. And I’m really enjoying not worrying about my body’s perfection. I exercise because it feels good. I eat healthy because it feels good and I

I went to a conference a few years ago, like three weeks after returning to work from maternity leave. And work conferences - they’re always like “let our coordinators know if you need anything!” But they couldn’t seem to figure out how to accommodate my need to pump and their coordinator (who was a woman) suggested

By her second week back [from maternity leave], Edgington said the Family Dollar store had scheduled the new mom to work several five- to seven-hour shifts alone, with no one to man the register while she pumped milk in the back. After working two shifts without pumping that left her “feverish, engorged, with sharp

Lives in Buffalo (Allentown) as well and I think it depends where you live around here. I’m a black guy that grew up in Medina and thats racism/anti lgbta+ central. Also places like North Tonawanda, Lewiston  or the South Towns can be pretty bad as well.  The actual city though?  Pretty good here.

Officer shoots a person and gets cleared of all charges: The system works!
