I think Jezebel gets a lot of ire because they try to use progressive feminism to dress up content that’s often kind of trashy tabloid level, like it’s a means of deflecting criticism rather than something that’s actually a deeply-held belief (of course it can be two things).

The ever-escalating dramatic episode titling is funny in its own way, too—the writers sort of informally competed with each other to come up with the most over-the-top episode titles until Ronald D. Moore dropped Latin on them with “Inter Arma Enem Silent Leges.”

I hope not, but it tends to happen.

People forget that DS9 was probably the funniest (well, intentionally funniest) of the Trek series, too—there’s this slightly off-kilter sense of humor going through almost the entire show (full disclosure: I actually rewatched “In the Cards” on a lark last night).
