Drug laws are so fucking stupid. Especially when it comes to drugs that have a positive effect on people. Weed would help with my anxiety as long as it’s in small doses. Too much made me depressed and brought out my self-loathing. That changed after LSD though. I wonder how long it takes for LSD to leave teh system.

Well there is a point after the peak where I feel the most relaxed and can start thinking, so you may be right. I’m definitely still hallucinating at that point, though the euphoria is usually gone by then.

Maybe, but I was feeling severe depression before I touched any of that. I’ve had it for about 30 years. I didn’t quit alcohol and Xanax before the LSD, but after. I stopped drinking and quit Xanax after my anxiety and depression was nearly gone.

Oh wow, that’s intense! I am glad that your regular treatment is helping you. I wonder if what you have is related to these types of drugs, as in if they work on similar pathways. I can see how difficult it would be to treat a person with a similar condition with LSD or any other type of hallucinogen. Thank very much

I’ve received a few replies to my comment. one person mentioned “acid flashbacks” as a long-term side effect. I’ve never experienced one, but the commentor said that he/she did a lot of acid years ago and went on benders, so overuse of it may lead to negative long-term effects. I also forgot to mention dehydration.

The flashbacks, that’s so interesting! That would be an interesting long-term effect to study. I have yet to experience a flashback, but I don’t do it very often or in any dose higher than my limit.

My friend is a psych nurse and she told me that at a hospital she worked for they would administer Ketamine to patients with severe depression and PTSD. I’ve never tried it, but I’m curious. I want to compare all of these substances and see which one works best. How does it differ from your LSD experiences?

I was terrified of a bad trip which is why I worked my way up. I got it in liquid form, so I would call each drop a “hit”. Four drops is about right. The closest I got to a bad trip was when I accidentally had around 10. It was intense and the auditory hallucination was worse than the visual, but it wasn’t that bad.

Without the trip for those that don’t like the trip. Personally, I enjoy the trip because it’s like entering a completely different world.

Yes, there are a few:

Interesting. Thank you for the tip!

I’m so happy that it’s working for you as well. Keep it up and share your story. You may save someone’s life one day.

Congratulations to you as well! Yours is a truly inspirational story! Thank you so much for sharing. I believe that if everyone that has experienced depression in their lives read our stories and take a leap of faith it may save many lives.

Carnival Cruises needs to stall for another month and then they can go back to doing this again without penalty.

I’ve never tried salvia, but I’d like to try it. I believe it’s still legal, so I’ll see if I can purchase some and see if I can get the same effects.

I dose once a month now, but when I started it was once a week. For some reason your body becomes immune to daily doses of LSD. You can’t take it every day and get the same benefits. I learned very quickly that Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas lied to me, as taking the same dose a day later will not make you

Thank you. Yeah, there are many more studies to be conducted. I really wish people would stop believing that the hallucinogenic trip and euphoria is the cure. Ideally we would have an antidepressant that gives people the benefits of LSD, Ketamine, MDMA and shrooms without the trip. I met the guy that was supplying me

Related, I self-medicated with LSD over the last year. I suffered from severe depression and attempted suicide by overdosing on opiates this year. My depression is (was?) clinical.

Yep, or any other country with human rights abuses for that matter.
