Yeah, it’s been on a downhill. I find myself coming here less and less. And God knows how many years I have reading this site.

“Death threats aren’t cool BUUUUUT...” is always a take where a poster should just not hit “publish” here. And it happens way too much on Kotaku comment threads.

What you are describing is a dialect. Consistent dialects are a sign of good writing, not bad. You not liking it doesn’t speak to the writing on the game, but your own personal preferences.

I know people that actually talk like that, so why is that a problem? TO make it makes the language more realistic.

Someone really needs to make a curated review website where people can only review stuff if they can maintain they aren’t total idiots.

I was just playing it, too. Controls are a lot better, but the terrible graphics and really unresponsive mini-game controls make me think that we needed remakes, not slightly amped-up mobile ports.

This article would be the exact opposite if they had strayed away from using Tank.  It’s one of the more recognizable anime themes period, of course they are gonna use it (especially when they have the composer on board).  The show hasn’t come out yet, why not keep an open mind until you can actually watch the show?

I don’t know if you watched the special. I really don’t think you did.

the assertion that watching netflix content would be a cause of violence is powerful.   just like how playing violent video games causes kids to shoot people.  get rid of them both

I’m not for disparaging ANY group. I’m biracial/straight, as an FYI. Trans people get treated unfairly (being kind) just as many groups do - not saying its right. However, after WATCHING the Chapelle special, having NO dog in the fight, I don’t see what he said jokingly, that warrants a “walk out”. I wouldn’t even

Try watching his standup before judging then? Sorry but you are the epitome of what he is trying to say in this special and doesn’t have to defend himself as such, at least not to someone that hasn’t taken the time to even view the content...

I realize that humor is subjective (and stand-up sometimes especially so), but I still think the guy is incredibly funny and cutting edge and not even the least bit generic. Tim Allen could never.

What’s funny is he makes fun of you specifically in the special. If you watched the entire special (sounds like you didn’t) and came away with, “Dave is transphobic”, then I don’t know what you were watching. I laughed, I cried, I empathized with multiple parties. This was stand-up at its highest level and i pity you

I see nothing wrong with the email or the special. by nature you aren’t meant to take stand ups literally. I hate when they pull a comics clips completely devoid context and turn them into their stance on something. Removing any tone they have been going for, rather or not they where exagerating for effect, being

Co-sign.

Same. I’ll hang out here with the adults, thanks.

I was going to sit this one out, because I did watch the special, and I am able to understand both context and subtext as a rational adult. And it seems a lot of the context and subtext went out the window with most people. America post-2016 is alive and well.

Gonna break rank with a lot of friends here but this shit is stupid. I watched the special. I didn’t agree with everything he said but what was said was not said with hate or malice. It was stand up.

As discussed, our society birthed this kind of toxic, banal evil of corporatism. Our greedy, apathetic government has been constantly giving corporations more and more power and influence, and convincing the public that it’s a good thing. I mean, it cannot be a a coincidence that I’ve been seeing a number of wealthy

This is legitimately the problem.
