Invest in yourself and control your own destiny. Go back to school if necessary, pivot to a new job that puts you in the driver’s seat. If there’s no company that appeals to you, start your own. Anyone can do it, it just takes courage and conviction.

Why would I want to be part of a union? To pay someone else to negotiate for me? To stand up to management? I’m more than capable of doing that myself, and, if I don’t like my job/company I quit and go work somewhere else. Unions are for the weak & lazy.

BMW is a premium brand and charges accordingly, there’s no excuse for their poor quality. Job One: make every vehicle exceed Lexus’ quality. Then I’ll buy a new BMW..

Did BMW finally upgrade the cooling components, or will this one last 3 years + 1 day?

the plaintiff was found by police walking near his car

There are very few vehicles offered today that are enticing and offer solid value. I have cash to buy a new car/truck if I chose to, however the MSRP has crept up to a point you really do feel like the ROI just isn’t there. My ‘07 Cayman, ‘16 Focus, and ‘18 Tacoma are all solid vehicles in their own right.

In every credible report I’ve seen Lexus is number one, Porsche is number two..

The obstacles to EV ownership are well known, the one thing that’s rarely discussed is maintenance and repairs MUST be done by the manufacturer. I will not own a vehicle that I cannot work on, or worse case have an indy wrench on it.  Signing up to stealership service is something I will not do.

Pricey cell phones, cars, and houses are not selling. The stuff that can be deferred or in some cases, never purchased. So this is the first category to feel the recession, the rest will follow shortly. Source: I’m an economist

I work in tech, I had a stellar year and yet my raise was 3.4%

Hold out for a decent transmission, the manuals are getting harder to find and the CVT’s are one of the worst on the market.

I sold my ‘89 because I couldn’t source a MAF anywhere in the world, at any price.

I moved to the U.S. west coast 10 years ago, I’m still blown away when I go back to Montreal. Even the sidewalks aren’t safe

Grew up in Montreal, can confirm nobody in Quebec shares the road

Visit British Columbia, it’s absolutely beautiful. Toronto is a Chicago wannabe, it’s got all the qualities of yogurt except culture.

I’m a boomer, born in 1961. All of my money went to paying for my kids college, they graduated debt free. I have fuck all left to give to anyone.
