I’ve owned cars from just about every mainstream manufacturer, except GM. I’ve always found the interior uninspiring and flat out cheap looking, this continues their legacy of shitty design.
I saw an interview with Neil where he stated that if he can get Tom Sawyer right he knows he’s on his game that night. RIP Le Studio, it was an awesome recording studio.
They go into limp mode and the car struggles, it’s very noticeable. Also, your MPG’s drop in half. There were no warning signs leading up to the battery pack failure, when it does go it throws a code.
The car has 160,000 miles on it, may as well extend the life. To be honest my wife owned the car when I met her three years ago.. it remains her only glaring fault.
$1400 for a reconditioned pack that carries a two year warranty. OEM replacement is twice that, with a one year warranty
My wife dives a 2006 Prius, replaced the battery pack a few months ago
Fortunately the car can be repaired, however the value is now diminished due to the incident. My car was damaged twice: the first time some mouth breather backed over the front of my Cayman in a grocery parking lot and took off. Got the bumper/hood repaired and painted and insurance covered it. Six months later…
I did, five years ago. Fantastic car, it’s a keeper
Yeah, but you also chose to drive the ugliest car on the planet. I suppose that offsets the smugness thing? “Lookit me saving the earth, in a really fucking ugly vehicle”
I lived in Portland for five years, a local Arco station let me pump my own diesel and super gas (with no corn added). As for entitled Oregonians, no one is worse than my ex-girlfriend. Fucking cunt.
That may be the best commercial ever. Laughed when he backed into the shopping cart.. but all in all the owner hooned the shit outta that Focus. Well done Ford!
There’s not enough stars, sir. I absolutely hate the look of the Lexus front ends, they’re about as appealing as a Prius. Well played Toyota.
I’ve owned several lemons that most people would have a hard time believing.. brand new Jetta, Camry, BMW 328, Audi 5000. All of them were complete pieces of shit. And so was my Supra.
I wrench on my cars, I’m pretty sure I did the work. I suppose the Cayman in my garage doesn’t exist either...
I have a 987.1 too, I also owned a Jetta TDI until VW bought it back from me last year. I used the VW cash to buy a new Ford Focus Titanium for $25k all in. Throw some snows on it and it’ll do a fine job in Minnesota.
I owned one for many years, in a lot of ways it really was without peer but there were plenty of other cars that offered more in the way of driving dynamics or brute power. The Supra was a series of compromises that worked well, it was an excellent daily and a lot of fun when you turned the nannies off.
I do, 2007 Cayman
Look! A squirrel! Am I the only one who is tired of his bullshit???? Build cars in reasonable volumes, without panel gaps.
