Just ruined my day. I had my suspicions that this was the case since we saw it at E3, but this makes me sad. I didn't want NFS:MW to be Burnout Paradise 2, I want an NFS game. I want Paradise 2 at some point as well, but that game was completely different from Most Wanted- that was pretty purely focused on racing and

But if the local companies already have a crappy app of their own, I'm not really sure why they'd want to play ball with Apple Maps. Integration costs money and takes time.

You sound like you're doing it wrong- DD-WRT was easy to flash and even easier to set up on my router at home. I'm pretty light on networking knowledge (I can google, and I know more than most people I'll admit) but it's pretty low-touch to set up and get running. And since I put DD-WRT on last year, all I do is

Oh trust me, I love my Nexus. That's just my biggest complaint- when I swapped in the extended battery, which I think actually improves the lines of the phone- I was terrified that I was going to break one of those cheap feeling little tabs, both taking the door off and replacing it.

Ha, awesome response from Solo. Reminds me of when my friend asked a person at Disneyland if they had shot glasses around in the gift shops. "We don't have shot glasses here in the magic kingdom."

It's true, horrid battery door aside, the Galaxy Nexus is very, very nice and minimal, but still functional when you fire up the screen.

But you have iCloud, why would you need more than 256gb of local storage in a machine made for "pro" applications (certainly priced for them) and with a display intended for use as a video and photo editing on the go?

Let's see:

I don't think it can clock individual active cores.... I know that they can shut down cores, but I think AMD FX CPUs are the only ones that can clock different, active cores at different speeds. I could be mistaken though.

I don't really think it is..... 2560x1600 is currently used for 30" displays. That's a loooooot more area for the pixels than 15.4". I bet they're just going to use pixel doubling in order to avoid putting additional demands on developers.

And if you don't know how to read a road map, you don't really deserve to drive anywhere.

My bet is at least $60 for ethernet, $80 for firewire.

How will you be able to see any buttons or read any text on a 2800x1800, 15" screen? You'll either need a magnifying glass, or they'll need to scale interfaces so they're usable, which will then eliminate at least half the space you've gained by going to a hilarious resolution.

That's fine and all, but this sounds a lot like Intel spreading FUD because they're not in the ARM chip space. They've been fighting ARM tooth and nail since it has made it big in the lightweight mobile space, and yes, they're a huge player but this is a brand new market for them to enter. Leadership in one space

"So, there's no reason it shouldn't be being open and honest about the topic."

Yeah, you actually don't. I got a GTX 570 last fall for my new build for $260, and it'll last me a good while. Will I be able to play new games on maximum graphics? probably not, but it's done just fine thus far. And regardless, the graphics I will be able to play on will absolutely smoke any console game, assuming

So very true. Instant heat, instant control, and you can easily see how high the flame is, allowing very easy fine tuning. It's really great.

That Wii U controller might be even bigger than The Duke was. Might.

Ok, so at the risk of attracting the ire and hatred of all of the commentariat, did you guys actually expect for Mazda to do half of these things? Half of them are contradictory to each other- take $3k off the price, add a turbo, make it 1 ton, make a shooting brake, make it more accommodating for tall people (ie,
