I lived out in the country with a lot of dirt roads. Several people told me that if you drove across the washboard surface of a dirt road really fast the ride would be smoother. They said the wheels wouldn’t have enough time to fall down into the ruts.

I would stay away from pasta, which falls under the ‘anything you want to tinker with’ category. All the pasta I have done in the Instant Pot comes out overcooked way beyond any definition of al dente. With pasta you need to be watching it constantly to get the timing right.
