I don’t get why people want to modernize these things. It’s a time machine, that’s why I like it. Gives me a chance to dig up all the tapes I grew up with, when I fell in love with these stupid cars I the first place.

Ronald McDonald turned that GTB into a GTFO.

Unfortunately, it’s incredibly difficult to get a locomotive into a garage, or drive one to work

Toni I just want to say you’re crushing the weekend job

Why is Gaetz singling out this one black University?

Yeah, the switch over to trunk monkeys after trunk boys were outlawed just caused all sorts of problems. My parents still talk about the banana shortage of ‘72. Lines going around city blocks for miles, waiting to refill their monkeys. All the poo being flung, mostly by the angry drivers waiting.

Steam is amazing. It’s potential was never followed through on as far as automobiles is concerned. I have a couple older Stanley’s and the amount of torque is just mind boggling. They will accelerate until the wooden wheels fall apart. Of course, they do catch on fire every now and then so there is that.

This is a time when the racers seemed to be more ‘real’...if that makes sense.

Lots of midweek races and races occurring on the same day.  It was pretty much disorganized until 1972.  Petty’s most impressive year was 1967, when he won 27 races (including a stretch of 10 in a row).

I’m speechless, but with 36,895 comments, I haven’t always been speechless.  This post is the best prize ever!  Thanks so much, Andrew!

Holy Grail Grand Cherokee: $700
Plane tickets: $200
Tools/parts bags check-in: $110
NOT having to pay for plane tickets or checked bags for the return trip: Priceless!

ROOF SCOOP!

Nice shot of the former CAT vehicle in the background :) I spent all year cheering for them in IMSA GTD last year. It was my first stop in the IMSA paddock at Mosport.

Rooted for this crew in the CAT Lexus this year. Can’t wait to see what they can do with a Lambo

Has this beast come up for sale?

There are worse ways to spend your massive fortune. I love the Pre-Ford PAG Aston’s. They were quintessentially British. Look at that beautiful interior.

What’s important to me is being able to open an article in Jalopnik without a video autoplaying.

Most people know of the Ferrari 308 by way of Magnum P.I. However, the car was the subject of the greatest magazine article ever written. I refer to P.J. O’Rourke’s, Ferrari Reinvents Manifest Destiny. I’ll claim fair use and include an edited, small snippet here:
