I have to agree with you about IMSA choice to pin DPi to LMP2. I do believe it was done with the hope, wishful thinking may it be, that maybe the DPi’s would be allowed at LeMans and other WEC races. Jim France did wave the TriColor to start the race that year. We all would love to see that happen here in America.

Don’t forget how this all started, when the ACO and WEC refused to take IMSA’s ideas into consideration when devising the LMP1 and LMP2 rulesets. Now consider that the WEC’s top class (LMP1) now has 4 to 5 cars and only 1 true manufacturer (after losing both Porsche and Audi, who are spending their money in GT),

Preach on, girl!  The truth can be hard!

Elon Musk: aiming high for the Air Force!

My wife and I had adopted a beautiful black Maine Coon when we first moved in together. We loved him. We played with him and considered him our fur-child. He hated my brothers-in-laws, often climbing them like trees to bite their necks. (Ok! One of them deserved it) I often felt Midnight, though, would have done

Excellent book!  I highly recommend it!  “A Big Ask” about the new Ford GT race program is also a good read and an interesting bookend to the Ford GT story.  Lastly, “Make It Faster” by Dan Binks and Norm DeWitt needs to be on the list!  Binks history with Chevy and Ford and Tommy Kendall is suggested reading!

The first problem with Prop65 is that it uses bounty hunter enforcement. Hat is, the state itself does not enforce the law, but anyone who wants to hire a Lawrence to sue a business and the lawyer automatically gets 40% of the suit! Secondly, the limits used are literally what the accepted maximum exposure divided

There are 2 great books on this by James Womak and Daniel Brown; The Machine That Changed the World and Lean Thinking. These are Manufacturing 101. In Lean Thinking they look closely at what Porsche did to stay in business! Fascinating. “Lean” can be broken down very simply: remove waste, which is EVERYTHING and

The Unfair Advantage is probably my favorite of the three best racing books I’ve ever read.  Go Like Hell and The Mechanics Tale are the others that are ABSOLUTELY worth reading!

All 3 of Steve’s books are great reads!  They are probably the best inside stories out there.

It’s looking like another year I’m not watching F1. Mercedes dominant, Ferrari bitching about performance and Red Bull happy with spoilers. Outside politics effects the next race because they don’t like how Grosjean handeled himself DURING his losing control of his car on the first lap. Lord knows, the front wing

This is a perfect example of what’s wrong with corporations that are “too large to fail”. The person who buys the car is no longer the customer, but a tool or process to be managed for efficiency while the real customer, who is detrimining the products to be sold, is the institutional investor. Sad...

“Superleggara” was never a model name but a super light weight construction system, developed in the 1930’s and licensed from Corrizarria Touring in Italy during the 1950’s. It utilized a variety of tubing diameters, depending on loading , and a then new Duralumin metal developed by the Zeppelin company in the

GREAT Pictures!!!

What I see here is a need for balance. If Waze continues to send traffic to areas cities ddon’t want them sending people, there will be legislation that will stop it. That won’t go down well, but look at the issues Uber and Lyft are having.

That was 12 minutes and 11 seconds of my life I will never get back... I’m glad I had a good wine to enjoy.

Having spent 5 years as an Area Manager at Amazon, I know that they brought jobs to areas which had lost major employers and/or had few job opportunities to begin with. Over the last 10 years, they have been expanding and putting FC’s in most states, which creates taxable sales in those states. Whole Foods is

Awesome! I saw your post, and thank you for responding. Hey, yourself, give a girl a boost!

You do know that Aurora Straus (with Al Carter) won the the PWC GTS-X Am/Am race today, after finishing 2nd yesterday, right? Also, Aurora and Samantha Tan (with Nick Wittmer in a GTS-X Pro/AM and finishing 3rd in class) both led the race today, the only time 2 women have led the same race at the same time? No? I

I see some of you actually watched the race, and some are parroting the BoP thing because their team didn’t do well. I am going to side with what Roger Penske and Hurley Haywood said during their fan talk on Friday. Why penalize the teams that got it right? Should we penalize Mazda for actually being competitive?
