This is a perfect example of what’s wrong with corporations that are “too large to fail”. The person who buys the car is no longer the customer, but a tool or process to be managed for efficiency while the real customer, who is detrimining the products to be sold, is the institutional investor. Sad...

“Superleggara” was never a model name but a super light weight construction system, developed in the 1930’s and licensed from Corrizarria Touring in Italy during the 1950’s. It utilized a variety of tubing diameters, depending on loading , and a then new Duralumin metal developed by the Zeppelin company in the

GREAT Pictures!!!

That was 12 minutes and 11 seconds of my life I will never get back... I’m glad I had a good wine to enjoy.

Awesome! I saw your post, and thank you for responding. Hey, yourself, give a girl a boost!

You do know that Aurora Straus (with Al Carter) won the the PWC GTS-X Am/Am race today, after finishing 2nd yesterday, right? Also, Aurora and Samantha Tan (with Nick Wittmer in a GTS-X Pro/AM and finishing 3rd in class) both led the race today, the only time 2 women have led the same race at the same time? No? I

I see some of you actually watched the race, and some are parroting the BoP thing because their team didn’t do well. I am going to side with what Roger Penske and Hurley Haywood said during their fan talk on Friday. Why penalize the teams that got it right? Should we penalize Mazda for actually being competitive?

Maybe I am old school, but back in the day we had the 1,500HP BMW “BuzzBOMB” turbo 4’s (designed to make it just past the finish line on qualifying days) which were light, powerful, fast and fragile. We also had the TAG-Porsche in McLaren which in one season won all but one race, finishing 1-2 for most races.

The IndyCar fans I know don’t watch much NASCAR. Most NASCAR fans I know don’t watch much IndyCar. Both watch their series races at TMS and say it was just OK. Of course Eddie Gossage is worried. Robosouraus can only do so much!

At least if the races he Rolex 24, he might actually finish a race in America...

Congratulations on your accomplishment!! As a one time rugby player, “Shooting the Boot” is a long held tradition reserved for those who excelled by, well, not excelling.  I mean, if you screwed up on the field by tackling your own guy or messed up a line while singing rugby songs with the other team, you were

I did the paper 26 years ago, when there was less emphasis on renewable energy then there is today. The magical solar carport is still years away. However, natural gas has supplanted coal as our major power source as its cheaper and cleaner. While our president continues to try and save our moribund coal industry,

My college senior thesis for my Economic’s degree was on this very subject. That was in 1991! Along with the environmental impact of power generation, there was the impact of increasing the infrastructure to support it; trees go down as more power lines are put in, you supply coal and natural gas to the power plants

The North bound traffic was extremely heavy as far north as the South Carolina. This was the South Carolina Georgia border early afternoon on Thursday. My family and I drove from Florence, SC to our home in Daytona Beach and the traffic was pretty much like this the whole way down. Several accidents added to the

Steve Machete’s “A Mechanic’s Tale”is a must read, as are the rest of his F1 trilogy!

Great pictures!! Ryan Eversly is looking particularly aggressive, out of the car, that is. In one pic, his lip is looking like a poorly adjusted splitter.... Was he seriously considering the conversation or just messing around?

When I played rugby, way back when, “shooting the boot”, as we called it, was a public punishment for missing lines in a rugby song (yes, we sang, albeit poorly) or some other minor infraction. The boot of choice was usually that of a player known for poor foot hygiene. Using ones own shoe was considered somewhat of

This is actually a good sign that F1 may ACTUALLY be changing. By allowing Alonso to go and compete against North America’s best, F1 has an opportunity to say its drivers are better. Bernie would not allow it because he KNOWs that that may not actually be the case. Worse yet, in his world, IndyCar would have to pay

With that car, I only have only one suggestion:

There were more people yelling “FIGHT” then at the flagpole outside my high school! It must be from drinking too much Monster Energy...
