OT: Heads up, not exactly a bombshell, but should take some of the coverage away from the trollish horse race coverage of the election, but Newsweek is going to drop a story tomorrow detailing Russia’s attempt to get Trump elected to undermine NATO. It’s not a bombshell, but then not everything has to needs to be. It

Blah, blah, blah...political correctness....blah, blah, blah...libtards....blah, blah, blah....locker room talk.

Ivies don’t give out athletic scholarships. And very little of the school’s income comes from tuition dollars. Its endowment is $37 billion dollars—the largest in the world.

Wow. After all these months of straight up horrid fucking news... This. This right here gives me faith that times may really be changing for the better. Or at the least, moving in that direction. Wish I didn’t need to say this, but I’m taking about the very strict and harsh punishment to a promising soccer team and

I remember that. To the credit of, well, pretty much most people (as far as I can recall, anyway), I believe that was the exact moment when everyone began to inch slowly away from Ted Danson and his career started to tank.

Boy, rarely have I recalled a story that is so wildly plausible and implausible simultaneously.

They did the same thing with Halloween which has holy roots. Do you celebrate that? Do you dress up? Do you pass out candy? Do you decorate anything with skulls and pumpkins? If you do, congrats, you are part of the same problem.

It’s amazing how many people don’t realize that several Latin American things among the multiple cultures have colonial roots.

Yes, really. Being half-Indian, growing up on tribal land, I was always Indian. “Native American” came into vogue as a descriptor only within the last 20 years, or so. In my experience, it’s white people who get offended on my behalf. Don’t need the righteous indignation, though.

Not necessarily. Some indigenous people prefer “Native Americans,” others identify as “American Indian.”

Sugar skulls aren’t appropriation. Seriously. Chill. I’m Latin American, we don’t care who dresses up as a Catrina or Frida Kahlo or any other Mexicana type costume. You wouldn’t be offended if someone from, say, China, dressed up as a jack o’ lantern, would you? Exactly.

What else are they going to do? Get normal jobs? It has to be a really strange life.

I consider myself a strong feminist and still love Charles Bukowski. Maybe one of THE worst misogynist writers of the modern age. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Part of feminism should be allowing women to have their own opinions and agency to love the art that speaks to them.

The earliest literature was spoken or sung - before most people could read and write, poets and storytellers recited or sung stories. Some of the earliest literature that still survives today, such as The Odyssey, would have been sung. You may not care for Dylan’s lyrics - but I don’t think hearing words instead of

It’s amazing how upset people have been over Dylan’s response. Even in his early years he was pretty prickly with the media and seemed to enjoy giving cryptic answers. His entire response has been “Dylan being Dylan.”

That doesn’t diminish his talent or make his poetry any less potent.

I believe we have, with this article, finally reached peak dismissively calling people bros for no discernible reason.

Bob Dylan is an experienced troll and people aren’t giving him enough props for that. Just look at his Christmas album.
