I grew up in the 80's and 90's when TV was so predictable that you could essentially know the ending to every show before it began. Today’s TV is edgy and sometimes unapologetically frustrating, but at least you feel something for it. Its a lot more fun in some ways caring for characters who’s fate is totally unknown,
