Has to be Toyota. No head gaskets to fail prematurely. So it can't be a real Subaru.

It’s a meme. And yes I'm a physicist. I understand that my headlights are in the visible spectrum.

I’d go cb500f. I had one. Fantastic bike. Super easy to ride. Not too much power for a beginner, but enough you’ll never need more for any highway. And they’re incredibly cheap to own because of Honda reliability.

And they're so fucking cheap that they don't include self adjusting headlights! On $80k trucks. They've been standard in tundras since 07. How is it possible GM doesn't include adjusting headlights? Most of the world makes it mandatory on any vehicle with towing capability.

It’s not you. They’re really bad in some models. Especially Ford hd trucks. I’ve flashed a few that have blinded me in my lifted 4Runner. They’ve gotta be horrible in a lower car. But fuck em. If they’re binding me - they get my x-ray level brights. My regular lights are properly adjusted OEM projectors.

I really want smart headlights that measure light incoming and direct the same amount back to the incoming vehicle.

Im taller in the USA than average for sure. And it depends a lot on location. New England folks are noticeably smaller than Midwesterners for example. And it makes sense. English immigrants are about 6" shorter than Dutch immigrants. In the the Swabia where my family is from 6'3" is the average male height.

Agreed. It’s really car specific. I’ve had a Chevy spark rental. Pretty comfortable seating and lots of headroom. The Subaru BRZ has headroom for days. But I sat in a Saturn sky that’s similar size and I remember being taken back by just how tiny it was inside. I could see the hood over the top of the windshield. My

KPMG holds it’s annual conference in Sturgis because it’s the largest gathering of accountants in the USA.

I’ve spent a ton of time all over the USA on basically every popular off-road area trails. I’ve never seen a Land Rover on what I’d consider an actual off-road trail in the USA (I see a few, not a lot but some, on dirt roads in Africa). I’ve seen tons of HMMWVs, unimogs, Pinz, etc. I’m sure it has happened somewhere.

At some level there are cars physically designed for small people. So they do tend to be driven by women who also are on average smaller. Im 6'3". So barely above average height, not a giant by any means. And there’s plenty of cars I can’t drive because they’re too small. Many small sports cars fit in this bucket of

I didn't know that. Good for Subaru.

My neighbors are lesbians... And true to form, they have an outback and a Forester. In my sample size of one - it holds true.

Audi sold 3,648 A8 sedans globally in 2020. Bmw 7 series sales peaked in China in 2011 and have declined about 65% from then until now.

There’s not much reason to build a higher end sedan that no one wants. No one wants sedans anymore. Lexus is basically the RX, GX, and LX. They could drop the entire rest of the lineup and I’m not sure many people would notice. What’s missing is the 18' people mover. They need a Sequoia with a $150k price tag.

The plus side is the gauge cluster on the Lexus won’t have a check engine light on for 95% of its lifespan. The Guilia probably started with the check engine light and designed the interior around it.

The Ridgeline is better on the highway. If you think the Tacoma is better. I don’t believe you that you’ve driven both. Zero chance.

Go drive both. It’s not close. In the abstract it’s fun to argue personal preference. In this case the Tacoma is kinda shitty to drive. It’s not a good highway vehicle. Interior is highly constrained - high floor and low seat. It’s too small for tall drivers. Engine/trans combo is pretty terrible. Until MY 2020? You

I think that’s a pretty big stretch. It’s like saying that you prefer a 1980s truck over a current one for the extra road noise, harsh ride, and extra bump steer. Current trucks are a lot nicer to drive than old ones. There’s probably someone who enjoys more road noise, more steering input, more gear hunting, worse

I prosecuted DUIs for a while. Many years ago. I’ve been there many times. My rough estimate was cops no-show DUI cases about 30% of the time. And they’re subpoenad.
