The price you saw is for those who were not willing to pay for FSD. For those that did, the replacement wheel and tire are $3000. If you buy into inflated promises you are good to pay inflated prices.
A big enough jolt to the car can upset some of the many sensors cars have these days. Those have to be checked and/or recalibrated to make sure the car’s systems are working properly. That work takes time, and lots of it.
Probably bent a control arm too or that included a rental car for the two weeks the wheel took to arrive
Tesla layoffs include tons of salespeople
No, that would be “We have no fucking idea what we’re doing, but we will sell empty promises to anyone and everyone. Wanna buy?”
I don’t necessarily trust the actual driving skills of anyone dumb enough to purchase a Tesla either.
Maybe this whole thing is just a bad idea in the first place.
Despite deceptive marketing trying to convince you otherwise; Teslas are not, nor have they ever been, fully autonomous. Park your cars people.
My wealthy, neophile friend bought a Tesla - but after his fifth flat tire on the Long Island Expressway he has relegated it to tertiary duties (Musk’s antisemitism doesn’t help either). They either drive their new Rivian or a very beat up Highlander rather than the Model 3.
It’s like being angry you got a speeding ticket when you set the cruise 20 over. You did this to yourself 😆
I do not trust FSD anymore.
I know it is childish of me to laugh at Tesla-ites experiencing the consequences of their bad choices but... I mean, it is just so much fun though.
My response to Tesla drivers. Drive the car then!
This is just one of those things that make me go, “LOL”. Then I wonder how this is legally allowed on the road and what danger it presents to cyclists, pedestrians and other drivers if it can’t even avoid a curb.
I had an Infinti dealer refuse to let me leave for over 90 minutes. They “lost” the keys to my trade and kept applying high pressure sales tactics to convince me to buy the heavy, slow, POS car I had test driven. When I threatened to call the police, they finally found my keys.
yup, we had almost 30 service appointments for monday but no service advisors to deal with them because we all got fired lol. not my chair not my problem
don’t even know how many weekend flat tire tow ins so probably 35 appointments but no customer facing service staff to deal with them
The Toyota issue was also largely concluded to be an issue of user error, whereas this seems to be a design and manufacturing flaw.
Unlike Tesla, Hyundai/Kia are hiring! Granted they are hiring children, but they are taking literal baby steps in the right direction!
My first rule of employment choice: don’t work for a terrible volatile company run by an idiot.
