To help, here is a comment:
It’s still a negative. He’s “creating jobs” by being a bully. Instead of developing an actual long term solution, he’s applying a short term band-aid. Competition from foreign automakers and reducing overhead cost are part of why American cars have become pretty awesome in the past 7 years. But with the government…
How can you possibly know this?
Subaru in 2001 was like “We’ll sell you a 227-hp AWD turbo sedan for $22k!”
those front suspension arms..
No, the entire American manufacturing sector faces the biggest risk if Trump makes good on his threats.
I’m not. At least not like talented like the guys that compete regularly in ROC which are from F1, WRC, NASCAR, INDY CAR, etc. But thats the point of this contest. They’re letting the internet give an underdog a chance to compete with their heroes they normally only see on tv. I think its a bit insane, but also…
I’ll vote only if he’s using the proper car for a ROC :
It’s not that good.
I’ve always thought that our response to the E.U. should have been to create an American Union with free trade from Canada down to Chile. That would help reduce crime across the Americas, help American businesses and create tons of exciting opportunities for businesses. Hell, as Americans we could get great…
I have no idea where someone would get THAT idea. Pshaw.

There’s also the Subaru Legacy GT, that is slightly less likely to have been trashed by a flat-brim but equally as easy to make power with. Not to mention much more refined than the WRX.
We got him a $500 Craigslist gift card. He bought three Jeeps with it.
My answer: Build a car.
Find a car that meets both your requirements (safety) and his (fun probably) but is really cheap because blown motor or some other misc problem, and buy that and fix it up. Good bonding experience, good teaching experience, and I think it will instill a lot more personal value in the car for…
I’d buy my kid an old BMW for like $3000. It’ll be cheap and it’ll build character by forcing them to use all of their spare money on parts and maintenance. They’ll have no money left over for drugs once they have to replace a whole cooling system, haha.
In a dream world Dad would buy something that he could fix up with his kids. Nothing beats working on a car and taking something beat up and making it your own. But in non-fantasy land, buying something newer and safer is probably best.

....if you burn a valve in a 1924 Sasquatch Landlover with its one-of-a-kind inline-13 engine, you’re pretty much boned.
