I totally agree on it not being a black and white subject. And designing “to the test” has been a thing since we had tests. So 100% agree on all points.

Neutral: I love cars (most things with engines, actually) and none of the new hyper expensive cars do much for me. 1000 hp is about 2.5x what I daily drive, and it weighs half as much. I just don’t understand who can drive it, other than idling around town or the occasional fast blast on a boring straight freeway.
