As my Dad said about Sterling, from when they cohabitated at the Audi dealer in Fairfield, CT: “Only the Brits could fuck up a Honda.”

I remember when Automobile Magazine started.
Okay, you’re a pretty funny guy, anyway, but this was particularly inspired.
I’ve long wanted to build an E23-chassis BMW 7 series with a later BMW V12, likely an M70/M73 hybrid. I even did most of the mental math here:
Really? Teh suck.
Pictures, please!
And that’s why car accounts at agencies need Product Information people (said the Product Information Manager at an agency).
Given the Banshee is a concept car, you might actually want to get that windshield warranty.
Unless this is some “VIN Purity” thing, I’m still thinking you should find a clean, rust-free body from somewhere southwest and transfer all the Holy Grail innards to that chassis.
Had one as a rental once. Not only was it one of the worst rentals I’ve ever had, but it was also one of the worst cars I had driven in the previous ten years (this was probably 10+ years ago).
Some days I want to live next door to you, David.
Dad had a new 1983 Delta 88 Royale for a company car for about a year. The window sticker said Light Sable Brown – though I remember it actually being silver rather than a light gold-ish color – on Dark Sable Brown velour, with wire wheel hubcaps. It did not have a Brougham roof; all steel, baby, with little Royale…
Been for sale for a while, now. Must not be as nice under the sheets as on top. Still, if it’s not completely rotten (like all of them around here) and you want one... Dunno.
“It’s a love affair. Mainly, Jesus and my hotrod. [‘yeah, fuck it’]”.
Oh, actually, the plant came home!
A couple come to mind. When I was really young, in the mid-70s, our neighbors in Norwalk, Connecticut, had a black Mercedes-Benz 250S (possibly an SE) like this one:
I built a small diorama out of a shadow box from Ikea. I’d get a better picture but it’s locked up in my office right now. Printed the base from a road image found online, and used some model railroad shrubberies glued to the base. Cars are attached with piano wire around the axles through the back cover.
#4014 came through St. Paul, Minnesota, last summer. Had to go see her. Once in a lifetime thing, right? The place was mobbed. She is completely majestic, and the scale is completely out of whack when you’re standing there. And if you’re that kind of nerd, the detail is stupefying. Innumerable large and small pieces…
Talk to this guy. He might have an idea.
