Honestly, I think the bigger problem is that we were in a forced transition to not needing to go to the theater to see new movies, actually began to embrace it, then had studios/directors backtrack to requiring people go to theaters again to avoid actually adapting their industry to something more sensible.

The weird thing is that a few years before Happytime.. there was a show called The Fuzz , which was basically what if The Wire, but muppets , and it was actually suprisingly good , it had a pre Crazy Girlfriend Rachel Bloom and everything .

I feel bad for The Happytime Murder. I didn’t love it, but I laughed, and afterwards I saw Brian Henson talk about it. He seemed genuinely passionate about it, even if he acknowledged that it didn’t quite come together.

I had seen a bunch of billboards and video ads on mute for Strays, and I had absolutely zero idea that it was for adults. I totally assumed it was ‘Homeward Bound’ for the new millennium.
