I made the mistake of reading Helter Skelter in my early teens and I was traumatized. It does sound strange, as all murders are violent, but I do believe that the level of violence should be a factor...and what Leslie and the others did was on the extreme end.

While I do understand people considering her age (19 is young by most people’s standards), I also have little sympathy for this woman. A child’s job is to attend school. They will not have access to school lunches if they do not fulfill their obligations and attend school.

Only white people are allowed to be children at 19 even if they have committed vile, violent, hideous crimes. The rest of us are lucky to still be considered kids at 11.

You want to give some examples of people who committed the kinds of multiple murders the Manson Family did and served far shorter sentences?

She was 19; she was not a kid. Manson didn’t pick her that night to go along and kill Rosemary and Leno LaBianca. VanHouten went up to Manson and asked to go along. She wanted to commit those murders.
