Damn, we’re not even giving time for nostalgia to hit before we try to cash in now.

Its kinda sad that Giant Bomb was started so Jeff and his friends wouldnt have to worry about corporation interference after he was fired from Gamespot and after 14 years they just did a full circle and went back to being stuck with corporation interference.
They have been going after these people for ages, they did not wait until they were done, wtf are you talking about
When Kotaku called the store on Monday, someone answered saying that it would be open again soon and directed us to contact the communications firm Longacre Square Partners, which specializes in topics like investor relations, shareholder activism, and crisis management. A representative of the firm refused to offer…
Actually can’t believe this article. The guy carved out a comfortable life himself entirely through illegal acts, as is made clear in the first quote, but this is quickly forgotten in favour of a sob story about how this poor guy suffered bad prison conditions, along with a fairly underhanded attempt to connect that…
Well yeah, because they’re not arguing about the legality of the guy’s actions, they’re arguing about changing the law. They’re not trying to be a lawyer here.
Yeah, but he typed “reuse”
For those that don’t know, Tim Curry had a stroke several years ago and hasn’t really done much acting since then (he’s been confined to a wheelchair). I know he did a commercial voice over for some Halloween marathon a while back, but that’s it. I totally understand if it’s too much of a strain for him to act anymore.
What about people who are falsely accused and spend decades in jail? People of color who are still locked up, even though it has been clear they didn’t commit any crimes?
It was objectively underbaked. My buddy and I bought it because nostalgia and some decent word of mouth. It was like the devs ran out of money or something, so much of the game seemed to either be missing or slapped together in a way that no one could have thought was reasonable for a game in this day and age. Playing…
I say good luck. Companies and people can’t even be bothered to tag anything properly. From Music to Porn.
Suggestion (kinda hoping someone can say that it’s a bad one, because since I’ve never seen any dev doing it like that, it probably makes no sense for anyone who would actually need these warnings):
Well, now I want to actually see this research on both sides, because I have a feeling that “kind of a mixed bag” means there’s probably more research showing warnings don’t mitigate literal trauma responses. At least, that’s my opinion based on the phrasing the doctor used.
Agreed. There are a potentially infinite number of things that could potentially offend or evoke a negative reaction from a player. How do you determine which ones need content warnings? If the goal is to ensure that nobody is ever reminded of a trauma while playing your game, that seems unfeasible.
I think the content warnings we have now are good enough, to be honest. Google is a strong enough tool that anyone can look up any game and figure out if it’s for them.
I sort of agree with content warnings, really on some level everyone does, that's why we have tv and video game age ratings that actually describe the content. But some content warnings have gotten ridiculous. Like I played "We Will (Not) Remain" and there was a CW for loneliness. Cool it's up to you to put whatever…
I get what they are trying to do but I feel like at some point we are going to get a warning screen that says “Warning this game contains conflict”
I’m right there with you. The Switch is something I play a lot of and have since it released. I’ll get sucked into a particular PC/XBX/PS game, and then once I finish it I’m still playing Switch games. And usually playing Switch games at night even so.
It’s superbly designed. Honestly if they just made a new version…
could i ask you, how does it feel to play PC-ass PC games on it? like civilization or aoe or xcom or starcraft or cities skylines or the sims, any type of game with a lot of mouse action? do the touch pads work adequately for a lot of mousing?
It is amusing to note, given this lack of hierarchy, they happened to put their own game top of the list.
