This right here, I dislike our approach of setting speed limits slow then letting people drive some amount over it. then to add to the fun let police decide which overage they are going to pull you over for....  Set the speed limit right, then firmly enforce it universally.

Yes. And my car already is like that. Now piss off.

My local collage never had enough parking, and parking fines were $10-15 so it didn’t bother many students. You couldn’t get your grades if you had unpaid fines at the end of the semester. This generated a substantial amount of money for the school. So much they wanted more, so they hired a tow driver and bought a

Yes, I’m sure that’s what it is… every single time I see one doing it in my neighborhood… responding to a call where seconds matter but they aren’t allowed to use lights and sirens… every single time…

Well, I taught my kids driving below the speed limit in fair weather conditions was rude to the people behind you.

drivers can override them by pushing the accelerator pedal down further or by disabling the system entirely.

Not sure why, but I really needed this video today.

Conventional wisdom says that the most dangerous drivers—and the ones who cause deadly or injurious accidents—are impaired, distracted or otherwise unaware. Speeding in and of itself isn’t the killer, although speeding often occurs while driving distractedly.

It’s only fair if all the police cars have it too. I can’t tell you how often I see a cop doing 50+ in a 45 or 40+ in a 35 (no sirens or emergency lights obviously)… it’s like they think the rules don’t apply to them or something…

I’m not against the safety benefits, but this is fucking wack.

I’ve posted about this before, but I had a job one summer doing high-mileage testing for ford. What this meant was we drove next model year cars 500 miles a day, 4 days a week (there were 2 shifts doing this) to get a certain number of cars up to 30,000 miles. One of the cars was a V8 Mustang that was built to Saudi

camo is a cultural identifier.

See, I have questions. Not about the fuel pump, but about the high visibility safety vest this man is wearing. Why in the HELL does RealTree make Safety Vests?

I don’t have much pity for the lady, but those kids are f**ked for life.

I dunno man, I’m kind of thrilled to see simple geometric elements return to auto design instead of everything getting more and more Baroque and edgy.

I deadass click “do not show targeted ads” whenever I have the option and I have a fucking adblocker (I don’t think I’d ever visit Kotaku again without it). I also deny access to cookies as well if they give me that fucking pop up. I’m *also* 25 so I’m definitely the target demographic those shit pickles want to

The difference is if I’m being charged 70 dollars for a game I don’t want to see another god damn titty game ad.

I mean, the difference is in your comment: “freemium.” If I pay 60-70 bucks for a game and have to watch ads between rounds/games/quarters/periods/matches/whatever, then they can definitely fuck right off.

If the games end up being free-to-play, then it’s not really an issue, however annoying it is.
