I enjoyed the first season, for the most part. It kind of felt like a bunch of things mashed together that, on their own and in better shows, work, but didnt for this one. Like they knew a certain thing worked in another show but not really why. Somewhat like how Family Guy knows the “rule of threes” in comedy is

I didn’t know the book was a fix-up going into but findout out afterwards makes so much sense. I still liked it though.

.

The series has some wild concepts and I really enjoyed it. The Three-Body Problem is arguably the “worst” of the three (main) books. It’s a bit dry and somewhat drags but it does a lot of the heavy lifting of setting everything up and is still a solid read, especially if you you know that going in. While I wish the

Yeah, so weird to point out the tech was essentially just people only to then state it was “impressive technology was truly ahead of its time.”

lmao sure, jan...

“...but I agree with everyone saying that the last season was rushed.”

If we’re gonna do this, I’m sure Liu would be surprised to hear he created 3 Body Problem considering he wrote The Three-Body Problem.

Next years budget is already hosed, and a new bridge isn’t going to make that any easier.

I’m middle age and when my father texts or emails “call me”, I STILL break out into massive anxiety because I don’t know if he wants me to call him to talk to me or berate me about something, like he did when I was a kid.

I’m basically an accountant so that means I can work in most any industry. I haven’t ever worked for a company in PR, entertainment, etc. and we still had social media “guidelines”. Hell, even waaaaay back when when I worked retail as a stocker before social media, we had a mandate to never speak for the company when

I’m sorry but that throw in the gif is something.

The chemical is so dangerous that they just leave it open in way that something can fall in?

Were stations hurting for kids shows at that time or something ? Because I grew up in San Diego and this show even aired there. I loved it.

Was going to ask the same thing. If my health depended on not eating something that’s fairly prevalent, the last thing I’d probably do is eat anything that wasn’t made by me.

I feel like the first book is the weakest, though I don’t think it’s weak, I really enjoyed it. If they can adapt that well enough to have an audience to get to the two other books, it’ll be really interesting to see how they handle some of the bonkers shit that’s in those.

As much as I like Matt Reeve’s The Batman like 15-20 minutes could’ve been cut from it and it would’ve still worked and not felt like it dragged.
