Doing something like this seems like a no brainer just from a PR standpoint. What, the dealer is out $20-$30k or whatever? Books wise, chalk it up to the cost of doing business or philanthropy or whatever aside from which I’m sure will be made up by several sales that result from this.

I don’t remember exactly where I read it and I might’ve slightly mis-remembered the details but it might’ve been here and a combination of another site or two...?

They’re basically a status symbol via a pricing barrier of entry. Lots of games have limited acquisition time for items, obviously, but Bungie (and many other studios) said screw that ‘extra work’ on their end and just replaced those with a price tag.

They did so many cool and interesting things in this film. It’s too bad the main narrative around it is that it’s not a good Constantine adaptation.

I’m not sure if they ever explain her name but knowing how well written this show is it very well maybe. I know for the character it’s short for Wilhelmina Jacqueline, which was a cool way to keep the character’s name and explain her nickname. You should watch it though, it’s really good.

“Why are you complaining? This is a viable strategy,” you say. “And it’s been around forever!”

Agreed. It may not be a very good ‘Constantine’ film but it’s a very enjoyable film named Constantine.

Paulina Alexis was so good in her audition that they gender swapped the character of Willie Jack because they wanted her in the show.

Once they started involving the kids way more it got so much better.

I really like the show but not really enough to sign up for yet another streaming service for yet another show that was moved to it. It deserved better.

YUP.

But it’s probably more straightforward than that. As West Wing actor Joshua Mandel puts it in a new essay for The Atlantic,...

“We can’t do or say anything these days...”, complains people who do and say anything these days.

I love AD&D but have never actually played the RP/tabletop game (and don’t really follow things either). I’m too self-conscious to do so but I LOVED reading the manuals, guidebooks, modules, etc. I loved reading about the worlds (#teamdragonlance), the monsters, the gods, etc.

I think not taking that country and it’s massive issues seriously has contributed to a sort of a feedback loop where some people view visiting the country as a novelty to be used for Instagram/Youtube/etc clout, thus incrementally normalizing it to others, who then also visit, rinse-repeat.

I understand that DICE was definitely pressured to launch the game but with a history of not great launches, with BF4's being historically bad, you’d think the game would not be released until it was in a really good place. There was so much goodwill going into 2042 and it’s all basically gone.

Chuds: “This is about personal freedom. Companies shouldnt be allowed to choose to not employ and/or serve unvaccinated people. It’s discriminatory!”

Also chuds: “I applaud this bakery for standing up for their beliefs and choosing to discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community.”

Yeah, not exactly the same situation but

Nothing says you actually need an exemption like applying for one through all available methods and seeing what sticks.

My favorite will always be Thumbsucker.

I dont know what those people have been doing to their deviled eggs for them to be more fart-like than not. I’m not the greatest cook but I’ve adapted a few recipes to create my current deviled eggs recipe and everyone at the severalk events/parties I’ve taken them to have gone apeshit for them. If I can do it, anyone
