I think not taking that country and it’s massive issues seriously has contributed to a sort of a feedback loop where some people view visiting the country as a novelty to be used for Instagram/Youtube/etc clout, thus incrementally normalizing it to others, who then also visit, rinse-repeat.

I understand that DICE was definitely pressured to launch the game but with a history of not great launches, with BF4's being historically bad, you’d think the game would not be released until it was in a really good place. There was so much goodwill going into 2042 and it’s all basically gone.

Yup, he’s not wrong. I love the MCU but I don’t think I can take another 10 years of blandly shot films. Especially since the main characters going forward won’t have the cachet that the previous ones did. At least to me. I think they’ll be a but more interesting because they’re less known so why not make the films…

I kept getting, and only getting, that NY Times journalists ad. I don’t mind the ad itself but after literally every ad was only that one for a solid week I kind of dislike it a bit now.

A buddy and I played and had a lot of fun with this game. It was weird and kind of a “life/job simulator” but we still had blast. There’s so much there for a really good game, conceptually and gameplay-wsie, and the PS4 version didnt quite get there. obviously. But I’d love to see this come back as a 2.0.

No way Disney re-casts her. Besides that people, including me, love her character she’s ‘only’ anti-vax thus not presented a real issue. Like making terrible jokes a decade ago. Or having a unique vision for an Ant-Man or Han Solo film that doesn’t fit into the established bland, cookie cutter format already…

In Emily’s defense, I felt like they acted like two people who wanted to bone. That scene was weird to me and I’m still unsure what Villeneuve was going for there.

I absolutely loved Part 1. Its been forever since a film still has me really thinking about it 3 days later, so I’m ecstatic that Part 2 is being made.
